Welcome to Kelly’s Taboo Terrors, a monthly podcast that explores the transgressive side of cinema. These movies, and discussions, are not for the faint of heart so listener's discretion is strongly advised.
In the episode, we head to Chile with the unforgettable film by Lucio Rojas, Trauma (2017). A film inspired by the true events of the 17 year dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, its' brutal realism gives us an unflinching glimpse into the world of his regime and the intergenerational trauma that follows. Trauma keeps to its word - you will never be the same once witnessing it for the first time.

My guest for this episode is Jerry J. Sampson! Jerry is an award-winning screenwriter and fiction author known for her work in horror and thriller genres. She is currently developing a true crime feature film with a well-known producer and her short film The Safety Games, directed by Jeremiah Kipp, is debuting at DC Shorts International Film Festival.
Her screenplay Problematic won Best Feature Screenplay at the Renegade Film Festival and has been recognized by FilmQuest, Screamfest, and HorrOrigins. She is a member of the Horror Writers Association and the author of The Scream & Other Dark Stories.
