Episode 43: Spinsters Book Club - Devolution (2020) by Max Brooks

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:

In this episode, we have our reading glasses back on with another edition of Spinsters Book Club! We’re talking BIGFOOT (Bigfeets?), Cryptozoology, survival in the face of disaster, Green Capitalism, environmental destruction, and of course, the horror that is Max Brook’s latest novel – DEVOLUTION (2020).

Do you have what it takes to survive in the face of adversity? Would you break down in denial or Fight for Your Life? From Mostar, our war-torn veteran, to Kate, our humble writer who becomes the heroine of the story, to the rich and vacuous Yvette and Tony, the residents of the Eco Village Greenloop showcase the multiple ways that people react to extreme stress and life-or-death situations.

When a clan of Sasquatch are pushed to their limits of survival, they go head-to-head with the upper class crust of Greenloop, who were severely underprepared for the eruption of Mt Rainier. Technology can only take us so far when nature comes knocking at our doors. Heads will roll!

Enjoy and welcome to our dark side…
